BNP Paribas cooperates with the Pasteur Institute in the global fight against infectious diseases

BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) helps in the global fight against infectious diseases by joining forces with the Institut Pasteur, a long-time partner of the BNP Paribas Foundation. BNP Paribas CIB will offer financial aid across 29 countries to medical research teams from the International Network of Instituts Pasteur as well as to laboratories working in collaboration with the Institut Pasteur in Paris.

The chosen research programs include dengue fever (Mexico, Hong-Kong), hepatitis C (Spain, Japan), the measles and HIV vaccines (United Kingdom, France), amoebiasis diagnosis (India), malaria (Colombia and Brazil), West Nile virus (Czech Republic), tuberculosis (Belgium, The Netherlands), influenza viruses (France and Greece), typhoid fever (Ireland), avian flu (France) and polio (Russia) amongst others. Donations over the past three years total 1.3 milllion euros.
