Nabolok
Unverified non-profit organisation
Nabolok in a voluntary non-governmental organisation working to promote, protect and support self-reliant, participatory development in Bangladesh. Recognising development is as much a social issue as an economic one, the organisation places equal emphasis on poverty reduction and empowerment of the marginalised in its development strategy. Nabolok’s programmes are very wide in scope, and include health, education, good governance, natural resource management and disaster relief.
The development strategy of Nabolok comprises two major components: poverty reduction and empowerment of the marginalized male and female. In pursuance of those objectives, the organization has given priorities to the process of people’s participation in development. Nabolok believes that the marginalized groups mainly suffer from lack of enlightenment on and access to resources.
