The Business Environment Council (BEC) promotes corporate social and environmental responsibility in Hong Kong. Set up by business for business in 1989, BEC offers sustainable business solutions covering baseline assessment, advisory, research, training and award programmes for companies across all sectors and at any stage of their corporate sustainability journey.

BEC is committed to:

identify practical means to address environmental concerns and focus business sentiment on matters related to protecting and sustaining the environment. harness the commitment of Hong Kong’s business leaders in influencing change and at the same time feeding back to maximize the value of their efforts, and improve overall environmental performance and competitiveness of Hong Kong. partner with the government, business and community organizations to address environmental concerns, with the overall objective of improving performance, and moving Hong Kong towards a more sustainable society.
