Oxfam International is a development and relief agency that helps people in the struggle against poverty by finding lasting solutions to poverty, suffering and injustice. Oxfam UK is part of Oxfam International, a confederation of 13 organisations working worldwide to combat poverty and to promote social justice. Oxfam has been working with local partners in Thailand since 1961, and opened its own office in 2003. Current projects focus on HIV/AIDS prevention; agriculture; workers’ rights, Fair Trade; the Mekong River and sustainability; conflict; and gender equality.
