ORBIS is an independent global non-profit organisation committed to the prevention of blindness. ORBIS International operates a flying eye hospital and runs training programmes for local ophthalmologists. Projects include founding eye hospitals and an internet-based “telemedicine” mentoring and consultation programme. Future projects include eye care education programmes for school children and participation in the Vision 2020: The Right to Sight campaign.

ORBIS Taiwan helps support and administer the provision of these services throughout East and Southeast Asia.
