ECOLOGIA is a non-profit organization providing information, training, and technical support for grassroots environmental groups. ECOLOGIA’s programs bring international perspectives and resources to local sustainable development projects, and bring locally based ‘on the ground’ experience back to the world of international decision making. The organization offers technical and humanitarian assistance to individuals and organizations working to solve ecological problems at the local, regional, national, and global levels. ECOLOGIA also launched SURE with its recognition of The Alashan Cashmere and Camel regional branding initiative to address issues of desertification, poverty alleviation, environmental health, biodiversity, and cultural preservation.
