The Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) was established in 1982 as part of the University of Oxford’s International Development Centre. It is a multidisciplinary centre for research and teaching on the causes and consequences of forced migration. Its work focuses on four core areas – doing research; providing teaching and research degrees and other courses; disseminating information and documentation and developing opportunities for the discussion of research and policy issues; and international cooperation and capacity building by working alongside academic institutions and networks to help them develop their own research agendas and teaching courses.
