Ford Foundation - Russia

Unverified non-profit organisation

The Ford Foundation works to reduce poverty and injustice, strengthen democracy, promote international cooperation and advance human achievement by funding projects that build knowledge and strengthen organisations and networks. Grants must be for charitable, educational or scientific activities, be in line with one of the foundation’s programmes (currently there are three), and likely to have a wide effect. Grants are not normally given for routine operating/maintenance costs, construction of buildings, or religious activities. The Foundation supports the people of those social groups that traditionally have fewer opportunities to access higher education and under-represented. These may include residents of the Russian regions (including small towns and villages), people with disabilities, refugees and internally displaced persons.
