Youth With A Mission (YWAM) England is a Christian ministry which is part of YWAM International with the main aim of helping the British youth to know God better, and to make Him known to others around the world. Their goal is to ease suffering and provide hope for those affected by poverty, disease or injustice and their work spans across 200 countries around the world while including work with churches, community development, training and innovation in mission. The mission also trains nearly 19,500 students a year, as well as having about 19,000 people involved in short-term work and outreaches annually. YWAM teams responded to critical situations such as Hurricane Katrina, the Pakistani earthquake, and the Asian tsumani and they remain in long-term community development efforts in these and other places never seen on the news.
