APEX (Asian People’s Exchange) is a Japanese NGO committed to improving the lives of people in Asia through environmentally sound development. Since its establishment in 1987, APEX has collaborated with Indonesian NGOs, implementing projects such as low-cost housing, vocational training in machine-work, wastewater treatment and biomass energy development. Innovating on the development of appropriate technologies which fit socio-economic conditions in Asia, APEX aims to introduce economically-viable, effective solutions to the problems that Asian people are faced with today.
