SAFE NEPAL is an NGO working in the Kathmandu District. SAFE Nepal aims to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS, oral health, environmental issues and community health generally in schools and colleges. The organisation focuses on peer education, creating community dialogue, and influencing local and national policy-makers in regard to strategies for preventing HIV infection, and caring for and treating HIV-positive individuals. SAFE also works with groups such as sex workers, truck drivers, migrant workers, drug users, MSM, barbershop workers and under-privileged groups, using drama and other techniques to spread its message.
