Mercy International Association (MIA) is an organisation based in Dublin, Ireland, founded in 1992 to serve the Sisters of Mercy and their associates in ministry. MIA fosters unity among Sisters of Mercy, works for justice and advocates the causes of poor and marginalized people at the United Nations. Sisters of Mercy work in schools, hospitals, emergency shelters, retirement and women’s centres. They provide funding for women’s empowerment, loans, technical assistance, and education and advocacy regarding many social issues.
