Inter Care - Medical Aid for Africa
(Verified non-profit organisation)
Inter Care supports the work of over 100 rural hospitals, health centres, clinics and dispensaries in Africa by sending regular supplies of essential, basic medicines. To date, Inter Care has sent almost £11 million worth of medicines. Inter Care does not provide disaster or short-term support as each beneficiary unit receives a delivery of free medicines twice a year for as long as help is needed. The health units struggle to manage conflicting demands with limited finances and regular support from Inter Care means that the medical staff can rely on a supply of medicines arriving on a regular basis, enabling free treatment to be given to the very poorest in their communities.
