Asian Youth Council is a regional coordinating body for youth in the Asia and Pacific region. It is a non-governmental, voluntary organisation seeking to promote peace, goodwill and solidarity among member organisations in order to foster a greater international understanding and respect for the wide variety of rich cultural values in the region. The Council was inaugurated on 14th, August, 1972 with national Youth organisations from 15 countries.
