Background:
Baltistan lies on a remote corner of Pakistan, being a poor and deprive area its problems regarding poverty, unemployment, education, health, human resource developments and social developments are not hearing seriously by the government and other responsible organizations.
Thus the major population of this society still deprived and under miserable condition.
Realising this worst condition, Al-Mashriq Public School Sermik was opened in this area in March 1996, as a non-profit organisation.
Introduction:
Al-Mashriq Public School, Sermik is running in a remote backward village from 1996, on self-help basis. It is the only private school, ensures equally accessible quality education for the new generations of this neglected area.

Location:
Village Sermik locates at the southern farthest end of district Skardu. It is 80 km away from Skardu airport, on the northern mountains, at the alleviation of about 8000 feet and above, neighboring with the famous Deo Sai National Park and the world’s 2nd highest peak in the world.

Formation of a tolerant and peace-loving society practicing on humanitarian principles at its highest standards,
Aim and objectives:
i. Provision of quality education.
ii. Accessible to all parts of community.
iii. To bring positive change by educating the new generations.
iv. Enable the new generation of this backward area to take part in the regional national and international development programs.
It has beautifully fulfilled the educational gap with no resource only with passions to serve the needy person. Tenths of old students of AMPS have get jobs or taking thier higher education from colleges and universities of different cities. This has much weight in respects of poverty alleviation from this area.
