URIDA (Urbo Rural Integrated Development Association) is an Indian NGO that is committed to working for people living in urban slums and rural areas where the development process has slowed down because of poverty, ignorance and illiteracy.

URIDA’s major focus areas are education, health, women’s empowerment, cbpacity Building of artisans, and disaster management.

Major developmental programmes undertaken by URIDA in the last 20 years include setting up a gender resource centre; running an HIV/AIDS project aimed at preventing and controlling HIV among high risk groups; and running a reproductive and child health programme; running various education programmes for slum children, and running disaster management programmes and awareness campaigns.
