Ramada Encore Bangkok

(For-profit organisation)

Ramada Encore Bangkok is one of the regional arms of the Ramada International hotel chain operated by the Wyndham Hotel Group. The Wyndham Hotel Group franchises hotels and provides property management services around the globe.

The Ramada Encore Bangkok Hotel, located at the heart of Bangkok, is commited to protecting children from exploitation in travel and tourism by joining the code of conduct for the protection of children from sexual exploitation in travel and tourism.

Early in 2012, several members of Ramada Encore Bangkok’s management team attended the workshop organized by ECPAT for the tourism industry on child protection and The Code, following which Ramada Encore Bangkok initiated the application process of membership with The Code.

To date, Ramada Encore Bangkok has also begun implementation of The Code’s six criteria. With help from ECPAT, Ramada Encore created its child protection policy, placed awareness raising materials in the hotel for guests and will focus on child protection training for all of its 150 employees.

The Wyndham Hotel Group and its various brands, including Ramada Encore, is a major and responsible actor in the tourism industry and is actively committed to combating child sex tourism. The initiative consists mainly in training its employees in preventing the risk and raising the awareness of our clients with the support of ECPAT/The Code.
