The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has been in Bangladesh since 1973, working to build capacities to meet development challenges. UNDP works with partners and the government of Bangladesh in focusing on areas including democratic governance, the environment, poverty alleviation, human development, and disaster management and crisis prevention.

UNDP’s development objectives focus on five key areas:

2. Sustainable environmental and energy management
3. Economic growth and poverty alleviation
