The organisation works in 50 countries worldwide in association with local partners, providing funds for development projects and emergency relief. Christian Aid also campaigns for poverty reduction and fair trade. The organisation has been working in Brazil since 1978, and currently supports 28 partners in the country. Programmes focus on secure livelihoods, accountable governance, HIV/AIDS prevention and economic and trade justice.
