Women Empowerment Literacy and Development Organization

Unverified non-profit organisation

WELDO is a leading not-for-profit developmental organization rendering valuable services to the development sector in Pakistan since 2003. WELDO is the only women organization in Pakistan working on a wide array of areas like Gender, Energy, Responsible Trade, Tobacco Control and Research & Development. Currently a majority of WELDO’s project are aimed at sustaining returns and the provision of reintegration services to Pakistani nationals returning to Pakistan from partner countries.
This includes provision of basic support services to individuals who have been removed from partner countries to those who have returned back home voluntarily.
As the individuals are returning to all areas in Pakistan therefore our strong field presence and relevant regional offices are providing reintegration support services to these individuals on the spot without the need for them to travel.
Our daily challenges are acquiring the most up-to-date knowledge in different management functions as well as an up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies and utilizing this knowledge to maximize the value added services to our donors and partners.
Persistently working toward continuous improvement and stretching our potential, we have succeeded in developing models and tools that serve to identify our project and beneficiary specific requirements and cater to addressing them in the most effective and efficient manner. We believe that this represents our main competitive edge, and as such we strive to constantly upgrade and fine-tune these methodologies to remain in line with local and regional development environments. Currently, WELDO is working with more than 200 international organizations across Europe, Asia, USA and Canada. These organizations range from NGOs, research institutions, universities to Chamber of Commerce.
