We are a small organization with 3 operation staff and is supported by a committee. Our target is to help the patients with thalassaemia major and intermedia in Hong Kong.
Our scope of services:
- financing patients to buy iron chelation medical devices and accessories
- encouraging them to enhance themselves through continuing education, providing financial assistance to them in paying the tuitions of the relevant programs for their self-enhancement
- providing counseling services to patients and their families
- financing thalassaemia major patients to conduct bone-marrow transplantation in order to cure the disease
- organizing activities for the thalassaemia patients
- supporting them to attend International Thalassaemia Conference to extend their scope to globally
- fund raising is our major tasks to earn funding to support the thalassaemia patients
- public education is also another main task
