Christian Disaster Response (CDR) responds to events of disaster in the United States and internationally. They cooperate with the Salvation Army and other national voluntary organisations active in disaster response. CDR responds with initial on-site disaster assessment, emergency food service – fixed-site kitchen and mobile food service, in-kind donations of disaster recovery supplies, advocacy for disaster victims, and home repair or rebuilding. They also develop transportation and distribution programs for disaster relief supplies, coordinate with other responding agencies and provide food service and medical assistance to victims in the disaster-affected areas.
