South Asian Fundraising Group (SAFRG) is a charitable organisation that is involved in fund raising activities and the betterment of the South Asian underprivileged communities. Their main aim is to promote self-efficiency and self-reliance among individuals and communities. This is accomplished through public education, public awareness, training and educational opportunities, medical care and financial support of women and children. SAFRW regularly organises workshops where participants have the opportunity to meet and learn from practicing and successful fundraisers from this part of the world, facing the same challenges and similar obstacles. The workshops also serve as excellent sites for network development between the fundraisers and as such facilitate resource, idea and skill sharing.
