The New York Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS) is a faith-based federation of service providers and charitable organisations, working in partnership to provide disaster services. Operations include developing and supporting disaster readiness, response, and recovery services for New York City through advocacy, planning, training and long-term programmes. NYDIS was formed from faith-based task forces set up in the wake of the World Trade Centre terrorist attacks of September 11th 2001.
