Global Alliance for Africa focuses on providing education and care for children who have lost one or both of their parents due to HIV/AIDS. It works in close partnership with local African groups to identify and place orphans in extended family and foster care family homes. To provide self-sustaining support for the children in the program, it enables community agricultural cooperatives, safe water programs, micro-credit enterprises, and livestock initiatives.
