Institution of Human Rights and Development in Africa (IHRDA)

Unverified non-profit organisation

The Institute for Human Rights and Development in Africa (IHRDA) has a mandate to increase the effectiveness and accessibility of the human rights protection mechanisms of the African Union. IHRDA believes that African human rights law can be a powerful tool for advocacy and justice if civil society has the necessary information and training to use treaties effectively. To this end, the IHRDA provides capacity building programmes, legal advocacy, research, publications and co-operation programmes throughout the African region.
