‘Centro Preventivo Del Nino y Adolescente PNP Salamanca’ provides temporary accommodation for abandoned, abused and homeless children in Lima. The children are cared for in the centre, and given appropriate medical treatment, before being assigned to orphanages in Lima and other parts of the country, or adopted. The centre receives no government help, and depends entirely on private donations.
