NY WasteMatch manages a citywide materials exchange by matching generators of valuable commercial waste and surplus goods with organisations that can reuse them and obtain for free or at low prices. It is a free service enabling businesses, nonprofit organisations, government agencies, and residents to create and search listings of available and wanted materials. NY WasteMatch also provides technical assistance with solid waste reduction and environmentally preferable purchasing, and conducts informal research and development projects.
