Save the Children – Sierra Leone works primarily towards the protection needs of large numbers of children affected by war, including separated children and children associated with the fighting forces. It also provides emergency care and assistance for children displaced by conflicts. New themes are also emerging that includes expanding their work in health issues, HIV/AIDS and responses for the protection and rights for vulnerable children, not just those affected by war.
