Developing&Empowering Indonesian Women (DEWI) is a registered Indonesian non-profit organisation working with women in below-poverty-line areas in Bali and East Indonesian. Current projects include skill development for women’s cooperatives in Sumbawa, a remote area where more than 70% of the women leave home to work as housemaids because their families have no other income, as a well as sewing project in Lombok. DEWI is actively seeking partners and other forms of support to continue and expand its activities.
