Catholic Relief Services (CRS) - Niger
Unverified non-profit organisation
Catholic Relief Services was founded in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and disadvantaged. The aim of CRS globally is to provide direct aid to the poor, to involve people in their own development, helping them to realise their potential, to promote social justice and remove the root causes of poverty, to provide relief in emergency situations and to help people in the developing world break the cycle of poverty through community based, sustainable development initiatives. CRS has been working in Niger since 1991, and is involved in an emergency food aid programme, and in health, education and microfinance programmes.
