World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organisation established in 1950, dedicated to working with children, families and communities in the fight against poverty and for social justice. World Vision has been working in Colombia since 1976 and currently runs programmes in health, education and income generation. The organisation also provides emergency relief and works with victims of disasters. Special projects include a Children’s Peacebuilders’ Group, a project which assists in the financing of school buildings, and work associations for women, youth and conflict-displaced persons.
