Network Heaven is an Australian organisation that takes what people don’t need and delivers it to those who are most in need. It is an ecumenical group established by members of Frenchs Forest Baptist Church (Australia) to help the poor in developing countries, in particular children who are in need. In Sri Lanka, Network Heaven assists children with education and brings relief at Christmas through gift packs which include clothing and school items, small toys etc as part of a one-off Christmas gift. The organisation also provides educational scholarships for disadvantaged children, and subsidises food, school expenses and travel. In addition, Network Heaven oversees gardening projects which assist widows (several of whom are tsunami survivors) with Rs 2000 per month, and manages a mushroom farm, runs a card-making project and distributes secondhand clothing, stationery, toys and educational items across a wide range of groups including children and families in the plantation sector, orphanages, prisons and creches.
