Macedonia Humanitarian Customs Regulation

This document was submitted in response to a questionnaire distributed by Global Hand regarding humanitarian customs information. It provides regulations for importing humanitarian aid into Macedonia

Required documents

  • bill of lading/airway bill
  • commerical invoice
  • packing list
  • invoice to a non-profit organisation
  • certificate from Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance

Prohibited goods

Alcohol, tobacco, coffee, motor cars, and those goods prohibited by International Conventions (drugs, weapons, endangered species).

Tax exemption

Humanitarian cargo and all non-profit consignees.

Monetary valuation

Required on consignment as a whole, and on individual item basis.

Restrictions on goods

All humanitarian aid goods need to be inspected by the sanitary, phytosanitary, veterinary and market inspection authorities.
