Oman Humanitarian Customs Regulations

This document was submitted in response to a questionnaire distributed by Global Hand regarding humanitarian customs information. It provides regulations for importing humanitarian aid into Oman.

Required Documents

  • commercial invoice
  • certificate of origin Documents often required by shipping companies:
  • bill of lading/airway bill
  • packing list
  • insurance documents

Tax Exemption

Tax relief is not available for importing to Oman. The minimum Import tax value is 5%, and this covers most goods. Other goods, such as certain food items, are taxable at higher rates. Please contact the customs department in Oman for more info on specific goods.

Other Info

Oman does not generally receive charitable imports.
