    • Supplementary nutrients for pregnant and lactating mothers

  • Shelter materials
  • Medical supplies & medicines
  • Cooking utensils
  • Blankets
  • Transportation: M6 trucks and long haul trucks to transport food commodities, with off-road capabailities

  • Augmentation of supplemental feeding for children under five
  • Additional support for the Government of Niger’s free food distributions
  • Provision of emergency animal fodder and livestock nutritional supplements
  • Assistance with sanitation and potable water (in areas with the highest malnutrition)
  • Seeds for second season cropping, especially short cycle beans

Logistics

It should be noted that Niger is a landlocked country, with relatively high logistics costs. Several agencies have requested financial support to cover logistics costs for supplies to reach beneficiaries.
