Society for Development of Drought Prone Areas (SDDPA) aims at empowering the powerless to build a socially, politically and economically healthy, harmonious and just society.The organisation teaches and trains extension workers and craftsmen, so as to offer opportunities through dignity of labour. Its main issue of interest is the sustainability of water in regions prone to dry periods and the development of new methods that may serve in water conservation. This is accomplished by public awareness, public education, resource sharing, skill sharing and co-operation between the specific regions.
