Ruimveldt Children’s Home and Care Centre is a home for orphaned, vulnerable and HIV/AIDS infected children in Georgetown, Guyana. Although the organisation was established in 2004, the home was opened in November 2006 following a construction project which involved overseas workers, missionaries and the local people. The staff in the home offers medical, educational and emotional care for the children. Their activities are also community-oriented: they provide assistance for the local community’s development.
