The Washington Kurdish Institute (WKI) is a non-profit, research and educational organisation working with issues regarding Kurdish people around the world. Some of the major issues addressed are education (Kurdish language classes and more), humanitarian response (Medical treatment, research and training), environmental safety and NGO and Community capacity development. WKI partners with a growing core of international experts, a consortium of doctors and medical colleges in Iraqi Kurdistan, and various local and international non-governmental organisations.
