The Harris & Eliza Kempner Fund is a family foundation whose international grantmaking arm focuses on the environment, population control and community development. While the fund mainly focuses on the community of Galveston, in 2005 the Fund allocated US$ 33,500 towards global isssues. The grants cover the broad areas of arts and historic preservation, community development, education, health, and human services.
