TechSoup Global

Unverified non-profit organisation

TechSoup Global is an international network of individuals and organisations who share the belief that technology is a powerful enabler of social change. It was founded in 1987 as CompuMentor, a non-profit technology assistance organisation that provides low-cost software, including many of Microsoft’s and Lotus’s leading software titles, and other technology products, to small to medium-sized nonprofits and schools in low-income and underserved populations.

TechSoup offers a variety of technological information and services to the nonprofit sector, including instructional articles and worksheets for nonprofit staff members who utilize information technologies, as well as technology planning information for executives and other decision makers. Support ranges from basic information to more advanced assistance.

TechSoup Global also matches technical volunteers with organisations to work on small technology projects, and has a forum to share technology expertise with nonprofits.
