International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a field office of the International Water Management Institute, focuses on the sustainable use of water and land resources in agriculture. Its activities include water saving irrigation techniques, river basin analyses, soil conservation on sloping lands, soil erosion and remediation, irrigation impact on fisheries, managing acid or infertile soils and study of rainfall reliability and groundwater use.
