Alcoa Foundation operates a Month of Service program for management and employee volunteers

Alcoa supports a variety of projects through the Alcoa Foundation’s Worldwide Month of Service which supports and encourages volunteering by Alcoa employees around the world.

Senior management and employees have volunteered on such projects as safety education in schools, vacination against tree disease in forests, and repair work on seaside accommodation for disadvantaged children. Alcoa also operates an employee recognition program through workplace functions to thank employees for their contributions.

Month of Service is the culmination of year-round volunteer efforts by more than 31,000 Alcoa employees, who last year gave 1 million hours of service – the equivalent of more than 475 people working full-time.
