Cape Verde humanitarian customs regulations

This information was submitted in response to a questionnaire distributed by Global Hand regarding humanitarian customs information. It provides regulations for importing humanitarian aid into Cape Verde.

Required Documents

  • Bill of lading/airway bill;
  • Commercial invoice;
  • Packing list; and
  • Deed of donation.

Prohibited Goods

There are no restrictions specific to humanitarian aid goods.

Tax Exemption

Tax exemption is available for goods donated to government or nonprofit organisations.

Pre Shipment

International pre-shipment application is not required for tax exemption.

Monetary Valuation

Monetary valuation for the shipment is required on the consignment as a whole, as well as individual items. The respective value must be indicated in the invoice.
