Unverified non-profit organisation

The Hunger Project is a global movement that is committed to reducing hunger and improving livelihoods. Headquartered in New York and founded in 1977, the organisation’s goal is to mobilise the people themselves and local governments in order to change their own lives and environments. Through individual and corporate donations, the Project has provided assistance in improving the lives of women in Southeast Asia, providing healthcare in Africa and rebuilding homes in Latin America. With an Australian office in Melbourne, the Project’s primary priority is the empowerment of women, which will have a trickle effect to improving the lives of children and communities.
