Colgate-Palmolive is partnering with the Starlight Children's Foundation to help seriously-ill children

Colgate-Palmolive is partnering with the Starlight Children’s Foundation to help seriously-ill children cope with the pain, fear and isolation that often accompanies serious illnesses, such as Sickle Cell Disease.

During the more than two-decade partnership, Colgate-Palmolive has donated more than $8.5 million to support Starlight’s programs. In addition to this, it has placed more than 1,300 Starlight Fun Center™ mobile entertainment units and 22 PC Pal® laptops in hospitals nationwide to offer therapeutic fun and a distraction from pain for more than 52,000 pediatric patients each month. In order to provide families with a chance to make special memories together outside the hospital, 60 Great Escapes™ family activities were sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive.

In celebration of the 20 year milestone, Colgate kicked off its annual “Show the Love” online challenge – an interactive campaign that engages the public in awarding Starlight Fun Centers™ to participating children’s hospitals throughout the country. The partnership has enabled more than 400 kids to join Starlight’s Starbright World® online social network for seriously ill teens. This contribution includes ongoing support of numerous programs established by Starlight and extensive outreach to encourage consumers to learn more about the nonprofit organization.
