Barbados Humanitarian Customs Regulations

This document was submitted in response to a questionnaire distributed by Global Hand regarding humanitarian customs information. It provides regulations for importing humanitarian aid into Barbados.

Required Documents

  • bill of lading/airway bill;
  • commercial invoice;
  • certificate of origin;
  • phytosanitary certificate, overseas meat certificate, import permit for meat and milk products, import licences.

Prohibited Goods

No goods for humanitarian aid are prohibited from import to Barbados.

Tax Exemption

Tax exemption is given if goods are directed through the Barbados Red Cross Society, or through the Salvation Army.

Monetary Valuation

Monetary valuation is required for the consignment on an individual Item basis.

Restrictions

Cars older than 4 years and cars with odometer reading of 50,000 or more are restricted. Goods with expiry date limitations are restricted.
