IESC Geekcorps is tax-exempt, non-profit organisation which implements large-scale, multi-faceted, country-level business development programs within developing countries using information and communications technology, while transferring the technical skills required to achieve long-term stability. Geekcorps accepts registrations from programmers, graphic designers, public relations and business consultants, database and e-commerce architects, marketing and networking experts, web developers and designers, and GIS specialists generally with at least five years professional experience. The times period for assignments is one to six months. Geekcorps pays the airfare, accommodations, insurance and a monthly living stipend for assigned volunteers.
