The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has for mission long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries. In Argentina, UNICEF works to promote the protection of the rights of children and adolescents, to help meet their needs and to broaden opportunities available to them, in order to achieve the full development of their capabilities. UNICEF currently focuses on health and nutrition, education, legal protection for adolescents, fundraising from corporate donors, and provision of emergency assistance to schools to help them remain open.
