German Corporation for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) Chile

GTZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit or German Corporation for Technical Cooperation) is the agency which channels international aid from the Federal German Government to developing countries. GTZ currently works in 130 countries worldwide. GTZ resumed work in Chile in 1989, after the fall of the Pinochet government. Since 2001, GTZ has been working with the Chilean Government in two main programme areas, state modernisation and environmental protection, and with other partners on economic development and gender issues.
